An older thread that got a little off topic had several members going back and forth that the backlinks at Digg were nofollow or dofollow. No one was giving in and there was no "proof" for either side. I hate to bring it up again but I think Digg would be a great way to promote one of my websites.

I thought the whole idea of digg was to provide a catchy title with a link (do follow) to another website page. When I go to view source it looks to me like those links are do follow but maybe I am missing somethiing since the tech part is not my strength (I should just call it a weakness).

I haven't set up an account yet so maybe some are talking about a link in a profile section that is nofollow.

Could someone provide why they feel it is one way or the other? Thanks for the help.

Just rechecked and my software shows all the Digg links as "Nofollow."

In fact from the social bookmark sites I know of and use I'd say the vast majority are the same.

Digg has "Nofollow" tag while Reddit give us "Dofollow" link.
