I have seen many forums with this feature.
And I am wondering why MMG being so huge and so active doesn't has this?

Any special reason why this feature still hasn't been incorporated yet?

I have been quite active lately and so going through different kinds of threads and posts and see that some posts are really of high quality and value.I suggest that either a "Like" or "Thanks" button should be added to each post. So that a member can thank/like the post and this would also reflect how contributing and helpful the poster is.

To protect abuse of this feature, Only a certain amount of thanks giving should be allowed per member in 24 hrs period.

I hope this feature is added. If yes then Good.
If Not then I would like to know the reason why?

Thanks for your suggestion, sniperz.

I don't have the answer at this moment, but I'll look into it.

I know the vbulletin forum script has the "Thanks" addon but I don't know of any IPB versions. Also the Thanks addon with vb really does increase the server load quite a bit.

I really appreciate that admins here are quite active and thank for the fast reply to this topic.

@ Uncle Awesome,
Yeah I have been mainly on vbulletin forums and I do like the "thanks" feature. So that was the reason behind my suggestion.
I am not aware if it will increase the server load or not.

I am not quite experienced with forums. But this is what I have found .

I would appreciate if you look into it and see if something positive could be done here.

Thanks again.

Thanks, it's something we will look at and consider. Really we need to text new additions first extensively because fo the traffic we get. One little addon can cause a lot of extra server load. Also we need to upgrade the current ipb version beforehand.

Perhaps an alternative to the above could be a new thread, where if you like the member you can vote for them on the thread?

Thanks for taking the time to read this Admin, you guys are doing an awesome job. Being a new member I can see how much time, effort, energy and extra work goes into maintaining a forum such as this.

I as a new member have to say I really appreciate how you guys are maintaining the levels of standard in the forums, and how easy and simple you have made it to sign up.

Thank you very much again, much appreciated.

Cheers,
Adrian
