I have a quick question, do you think now is a good time to invest in bio diesel for the long term or should i stay out of the market?? I'm looking forward to hearing people's take on this, especially experienced investors..thanks!

Bio-Diesel refers to a non-petroleum-based diesel fuel consisting of short chain alkyl esters, made by transesterification of vegetable oil, plant oil or animal fat , which can be used in unmodified diesel-engine vehicles. What you have decised because I have seen this thread after very long time?

I think dannyson1 already knows what bio diesel fuel is, but it is good that you posted the definition for others who don't know. I think what dannyson1 is looking for is advice on the timing of investing in bio-fuel. Is it s good time now? Or should he not invest in it at all?

I personally think investing in any type of good (proven) viable alternative energy methods is a good investment. It must be good without harmful side effects. It must be good for the economy (cost effective), good for the planet and good for humanity (basically harmless).

This would be a good place for members to post such good alternatives in this thread, as well as reliable, credible sources for such investments.

Thank you very much for both of your inputs, I think finding a reliable, credible source for any investment, especially those which may not necessarily be considered mainstream in the online world, is key.

You know the oil fuel is depleting fast and becoming expensive day by day.And one day all these natural oils would be depleted completely and thus the scope for the bio diesel or bio fuel arises.

So there is a sound opportunity in bio diesel investment and profits as more vehicles would be converted into bio diesel.

And you know there is already bio fuel is getting produced in many parts of the world and so many people already investing money in this new and profitable area including me.

So off course coming time would be dedicated to such fuels on the par of the solar energy, tidal enegry, bio thermal energy, etc.
