I wonder if some PPC Advertisers will move away from Google and Yahoo now that Microsoft has made some improvements to its search engine with its Bing?

Can Bing Really Bring It for PPC Advertisers?

Wisely, Microsoft has added the important features that content network giant Google offers its advertisers: site targeting, site exclusion, and placement performance reporting. Advertisers can choose text or image ads in the Content Network. Keyword monetization data is available via the Ad Intelligence tool, as well.

We have several clients in the travel vertical who have relatively limited budgets. Over the next week or so, I plan to move some of their PPC budget from Yahoo to adCenter. I honestly feel that while traffic may be lower, they'll get better ROI from Bing than from Yahoo.

If your site is new-

Submit your site to Bing

Generally our web crawler, MSNBot, can find most pages on the Internet. However if your site does not appear on Bing, you can send us the address (URL).

Competition is always good. It will encourage more innovation from both companies. Having one big Player like Google is bad for the users.

I like the fluidity of the search tool and the fact that "search history" is listed in the sidebar smile.gif Just searched my top keyword for my website and found myself listed #2 in the first page of listings so I'm content with that! lol

It kind of reminds me of the search conglomerate engine that's now set up at Leapfish.com, though their advertising program offers 1 time payment for life rights to the top spots for your keywords, which I think is a mistake, but it is what it is...

Admittedly have not checked out the MSN ppc program, but I think competition is certainly good. Maybe it will drive cost per click down on google a bit! wink.gif I am certain that google ppc enthusiasts will still continue to use google, but this gives them another avenue for expansion and gives hope to the "little guy" that he can at least gets his feet wet in a lower cost ppc option before taking on the Google giant. biggrin.gif
