Trees - the Best Way to Increase Your Savings!During the years 1973-2002, managed timber gave about 15 % annual returns as an investment, while stocks gave a return of 11 %. Without any doubt trees have been a tremendous way of saving money for those who thinks in long terms. Tropical Trees Will Probably Get a Dramatically Increase in Value During the Next 20 YearsThe value of trees increases as they grow. Tree prices have have also increased by approximately 5 % for decades. Better Globe Trees Better Globe Forestry takes care of the trees you purchase for 20 years from purchase date. From the fifth to the twentieth year you get paid 15 % profit on your Better Globe trees. The 20th year you will receive 10 times the recommended retail price. You will also receive possible increase in price. If you buy 1 tree at 15 Euro you receive this as profit: Euro 15 x 15 % = Euro2.25 x 15 years Euro 34 + Euro 15 x 10 (in year twenty) Euro 150 - Euro 15 (retail price) Euro 15 = Total Profit Euro 169 * Recommended retail price in 2009 = Euro 15 per tree * Possible increase in price on tropical timber will be added your profit. We will dedicate money each year on a Better Globe account to further secure our calculations. The purpose is to assist payments to Better Globe tree buyers, if production should be worse than expected. Better Globe trees that are planted are a mix of Acacia Senegal (gum arabic) and Mukau (tropical hardwoods). Gum ArabicThis product is used as an ingredient in Coca Cola, Pepsi Cola, chewing gum, different kinds of candies, medicines, cosmetics and many other kinds of food. You can hardly find any household without using this product in one way or another. In 2004 the price of "Grade 1" Gum Arabic was between US$ 1.50 - 2.00. Two years later, in 2006, the price had increased to US$ 3.00 - 4.00. The price on raw materials from Gum Arabic has accordingly doubled in two years. MukauThe Mukau tree gives us high-quality timber. The tree is medium-sized, up to 20m tall, with a straight trunk. Mukau is mahogany-like, can be used in open air and is usable in furniture, parquet, doors, window frames etc. Compared to African and American mahogany and teak trees, mukau is the only species growing in really semi-arid areas, so it does not compete with food crops. Mukau is heavier and harder than American mahogany, but not as hard as teak. Sustainably grown tropical hardwoods have excellent market prospects as timber supply from rainforests will decrease due to overexploitation, political pressure (global warming) and increasing remoteness. Price (kiln dried timber) in 2007 was FOB 400 USD/m3 (FOB - Free On Board) The table and diagram below show how different increases in price will influence on the total profit from the trees within a 20 years period of time. Product Purchase Costs 0 % Price Increase 1 % Price Increase 3 % Price Increase 5 % Price Increase Donation Pck., 24 Trees (1 year) Euro 588 Euro 3 820 Euro 4 610 Euro 6 720 Euro 9 770 10 Trees Euro 150 Euro 1 690 Euro 2 020 Euro 2 900 Euro 4 170 50 Trees Euro 750 Euro 8 440 Euro 10 090 Euro 14 480 Euro 20 840 100 Trees Euro 1 500 Euro 16 880 Euro 20 180 Euro 28 970 Euro 41 670 * The values in the table are based on recommended retail price in 2009 = Euro 15 per tree Did You Know - that by a 5 % annual increase in tree price, you will, by year 20, receive a total profit of Euro 41,670, just by purchasing 100 trees for Euro 1,500?
- that the Price of Gum Arabic has doubled in 2 years?
- that only one tree in Africa is planted for each 28th that is cut?
- Acacia Senegal trees are used for production of Gum Arabic
- Mukau Trees belong to the mahogany-family (tropical hardwoods)
Want to know more? See Tree Investor Presentation by clicking "Buy trees" http://www.betterglobe.com/11130Why do We Believe in an Increase in Price?- To day nearly 1 out of 3 people in the world (1.7 billions) are living in countries and areas which have critically low coverage of forest. If the present deforestation continues the figure will be tripled to 4.6 billion people by 2025.
- The total forest areas have diminished by 50 % since 1960.
- More than 90 % of the original forests in West Africa are temporarily lost.
- In Africa, only 1 tree is planted for each 28th that is cut.
- 8 out of 10 people use less paper than what is estimated to be necessary needs for education and communication in the future.
- Countries like Japan, England and USA are today among the largest consumers of wood. In the future however, countries like China and India, with a population many times the size of the three mentioned countries combined, will have an enormous increasing demand for wood.
Some figures for comparison: - In Japan every person consumes about 242 kilos per year, while the consumption in India is still only about 3 kilos a person a year.
- At the same time prognoses show that the area covered by forest in India will decrease by more than 30 % per person the next 20 years. This, among other things, is a result of an increasing population of more than 300 million people during the same period.
- Today the forests of China are covering about 16 % of the total land. The demand is however more than doubled. This implies that there is a shortage of about 270 million cubic meters of wood each year. The situation is worsening due to population growth and economic revolution taking place in China right now.
- Because of the facts mentioned above the prices of tropical timber and harvestable products from the different trees will probably increase enormously within the next 20 - 30 years. In the diagram below you will find a comparison of supply and demand for tropical timber. The lines crossed in 2001 and it is supposed that the gap will increase in the years to come. This will of course have a large impact on the wood prices in the future.

The website has been updated with better information for potential investors! I have personally contact with experienced and successful investors that are investing and working for Better Globe in Sweden. I have a high confident level in this organisation ad I think the business model is groundbreaking! To be able to help and to attract a broader mass to charity I think a profit incentive is the key. And the profit is significant! - Do you know any charity organisation that gives profit for the members? - What would happen if the donations in other charity organisations would stop? The organisation would go bust due to a large ineffective and costly organisation! In Better Globe on the other hand the donations and investments will build the organisation no matter how big or small the cashflow into the organisation is. The money goes to where they make a difference, for all involved! Now there is a christmas offer and Better Globe gives a 20% discount on trees when you buy a minimum of 100 pcs. That is a great deal and I will take that offer! No matter what, one or more trees can be bought as a monthly investment or as a one time purchase. I think it is a great christmas gift for yourself and your family! There is a option to print out a gift certificate from a gift purchase from the back office! If you are interested in more information do not hesitate to contact me on gustav.betterglobe "at-sign" gmail.com Here you can make a change for yourself and others!Best regards and for a better globe! /Gustav

Want to know more? Click here!Better Globe on Breakfast TV in UgandaCheck our video at YouTube, where our chairman, Rino Solberg, was interviewed 11 minutes on Ugandan breakfast TV. Kick-off; a Great Start of the Year!Around 100 persons were gathered together on the kick-off in Orkdal, Norway, to get a superb start of 2010. Everyone got the latest info from our work and some inspirational input from some skilful speakers. Several of the visitors were not customers of Better Globe and received their first presentation of our company this weekend. Feedback shows that they were satisfied and had great confidence in the way Better Globe works. Some had a "kick" and felt that this gave lots of inspiration to start working as an Ambassador. Some of the new visitors signed up as customers already on the same day and we have already received several afterwards. Lennart Gothe gave an inspiring speech about why some of the smartest things you can do is to buy trees. If you want to invest in something, you should look for products/services that are both in high demand and of shortages in the market. In today's market, there is no doubt that trees are a right product to bet on. Today, there are too few trees on the market to cover the demand. Lennart specified how unique and good Better Globe resolves this; by doing something good for the community as well as to provide good profit back to customers in Better Globe. Einar Steinshaug showed a stream of pictures to give a visual impression of how donation packages in Better Globe helps building small communities and get people out of poverty. Several of the visitors had some aha-experiences along the way. Julie Solberg made the greatest impression when she talked about the project with deaf children in Child Africa's schools; to see how life for many of the children have changed from hopelessness to hope, confidence and belief in own abilities. Not least, she proudly told about the amazing results the students at the school in Kabale achieved on the national exam, where all students in 7th grade must pay. 4 top grades and 16 in the second-highest level! These are extremely great results for a school that only has been in operation for 2 years! Congratulations to all involved, who have worked with and assisted the students in Child Africa! Rino Solberg was in his usual ace, full of energy, and he lifted everyone up at the ceiling! He also told about a number of activities that will be launched in Africa. One could feel a pride in the assembly of what has been accomplished so far, and the excitement of the coming activities. The feedbacks are very positive as mentioned, and we all are inspired to. It seems like a really great thing to do. Alas, I'm sorry, I don't buy it. First, when I donate, I donate 100% to the target purpose, which leaves 0% for sales commissions. For me, the two just don't go together at all. Second, in order to sell trees, I must recurringly buy myself, pay a fee, and make said donations? Nope. For a one-time setup fee I'd say this is a good program to add to the portfolio. Provided some other questions are answered, i.e. how the specific risks in those countries are dealt with, like political instability, illegal logging etc.

QUOTE (Fafnir @ Feb 23 2010, 03:36 PM) It seems like a really great thing to do. Hello Fafnir! I will try to answer your questions and thoughts, see below! "First, when I donate, I donate 100% to the target purpose, which leaves 0% for sales commissions. For me, the two just don't go together at all." I do not really understand what you men here, can you please explain what you ment? There is a option for you to buy a donation package wich will give the most benefit to the ones you help but you still get 2 trees to keep as investment. Over time the donation package will pay you about 6,5 times back the amount you donated. Do you know any donation that actually give you more money back? If you want to sell trees (and get commissions as a ambassador as me) you do need to buy trees yourself, that is right, but you do not need to buy donation packages. To get commissions from donation packages you need to buy donation packages. Trees and donation packages are two different things and you can choose to promote the one or the other or both. You have no obligation what so ever to be an ambassador. BUT, to be an investor and only take part in the great investment opportunity you only buy as few or as many trees you want when you want, no obligations or fees. There is currently a special offer on tree investments and if you buy 100 trees or more the price/tree will be 13 Euro instead of 15 Euro. In the back office when you have logged in there is a investment calculator and the opportunity to recieve newsletters from the great work and progress that is beeing done within Better Globe. There are no obligations or fees to be an investor, to donate or to do both. There is also a "cooling off" period of 2 weeks wich will give you a full refund if you do not want the invested trees or donation package. Here you can make a change for yourself and others and get more information about Better Globe and the investment in trees!Best regards! /Headline
