Bank of England Cuts Rates to Record Low of 1.5%

in China, the rate is very lower now.

And it could even go down to 0% according to some.

I get 8% per year compounded quarterly risk free here in Egypt, my bank is NSGB.

i get 1.5% a year in my bank wamu. i wish it back at 4% like early last year

wow... 1.5% APR would not even beat the inflation!

Are from UK? You should make investments in other countries where the interest rates are higher, much higher.

In the Philippines too, we have a low rates here..

I bangladesh if make an 1 year Fixed deposit then interest rate is 10% per year.

The joke in the UK is that deposit rates are extremely low, often around 0.25% to 3%, the Bank of England bank rate is 0.5%, yet credit card companies are charging an average of 17% APR on balances! Unauthorised overdrafts can be as high as 19%.

I currently have 3.65%, no fixed time deal and free transactions. Swedish bank.
