They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Lest we forget bye2.gif

ANZAC day is a day of remembrance in Australia for all of our countrymen and women who have fought in the wars. The diggers and their families march after attending a dawn service. I was listening to one elderly man today. When he first started marching he had 900 serviceman in his group. There are now only 140 left. It is very sad, and very moving, I can't really explain it. The good news is more and more of the youth of Australia are attending these marches each year, in recognition of these outstanding people.

We even have anzac biscuits which most australians have eaten through their childhood. I don't think there would be many mothers who have not made them at some time. They are very much like butternut snaps.

its great that the youngins are learning about there countries history, we should never take what we have for granted..someone had to sacrifice for us to live the life we have.

I among others believe that these brave servicemen defined our country that day 92 years ago, our nation had only been declared an independent entity from England since 1901.
