Website Necessary?

How can one be successful at Affilate Marketing without a website? I hear it can be done.

Newb Question

Is it possible for someone to just give a quick breakdown of the different money making methods as listed in the forums? I'm curious to know which ones really require certain types of skillsets, or proficiencies to do really well in and what those skillsets are. And which ones require more attention and work. It's not that i'm trying to find the easy out but tryign to get a realisitic view on the methods.

So far affillate marketing looks to be extremely promising to me through CJ. The idea of trying to form relationsihps with marketers sounds nice but "attracting" traffic sounds like a challenge.

ANY guidance especially on affilate marketing would be great as I am really new to the idea of working for myself. (I've been in the military for 7 years now and am getting tired of it.)

I'm very happy to now be a part of these forums. I feel I have a lot to learn about making money even though I am already employed with a slow job. The reception here is amazing and makes these forums seem very friendly and collaborative, not to mention extremely resourceful for providing some tools for finding your own way.
