you have to do some linking with your lens like blogging and writing articles that links to your lens and also submit it to some rss sites directory.

Don't forget to create lenses around popular keywords, use proper tags and include a variety of modules. It also helps to drive traffic to Squidoo from other sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Blogs.

I have always used Squidoo mainly for back links. However, I do put some affiliate links on them as well with tracking IDs and occasionally get sales.

When I have time, I will join groups and do a squidcast or two - but I find the amount of money that Squidoo pays is not really worth the extra time spent. I usually make more from affiliate sales to be honest.

Try and build content across various web 2.0 platforms, squidoo being near the top of the list... hubpages.com, ezinearticles.com, scribd.com are others. I think linking to your own optimized youtube videos within these platforms is good habit to get into...
