Trick one - Know your market area

Let's say you're wandering through your local charity shop and spot an old record for only a few pounds. Great! It could be a collectible! You snap it up instantly and race home to Amazon to list this for sale. Only to discover that no one really wants that record after all and you've just wasted your money.

Select a market area that you know something about, at least initially. This will make you aware of when to snap up a great deal to make a profit, and when to leave well alone.

Trick two - Study your market area

Alright, you already have some knowledge about the area in which you are going to sell, maybe even a lot of knowledge! Despite that you will still need to take the time to study what's already out and about in the marketplace for people to buy, and how much those existing products sell for. Before purchasing any stock, spend some time on the Amazon website looking around the appropriate categories. It is important to remember that if no one at all is selling what you are offering, there may be a gap in the market but there could just as easily be no market in the gap! Supplement your study with a look around eBay and other websites to make sure that what you want to sell will actually disappear from your virtual shelves.

Trick three - Set a minimum profit level

When working out what you should sell on Amazon for profit it is important to calculate exactly how much profit you can actually make on each sale. Let's say you want to sell DVDs, but from your research you have realised that you can only make £1 of profit from each sale. How many DVDs would you need to sell each day to make a viable income stream? 10? Hardly. 100? Maybe.

But what if you could get your hands on some high quality cookware that you could sell for 5 pounds profit a time! Suddenly you only need to sell 20 units to make the same amount of profit each and every day. Setting a 5 pounds profit limit, as an example, could reduce your workload, providing you with more chance to research additional items to expand your buying and selling business.

The key to being a successful amazon associate is one marketing the right product! 2. Finding your angle of attack. 3. Drive more traffic to your affiliate page. Then you just sit back and collect the checks! Now it do require some hard work to get everything setup! But once you do you can have money on auto-poilit.

The thing with auto-blogs is this: you need to invest some money in them. Take for instance wp robot - it costs 100 dollars itself, then you'll probably buy a membership on one of the sites wp robot uses to take its reviews and articles from (100 dollars a month or MORE) - also, these additional tools that take care the articles are completely rewritten from their original form.. What I'm trying to say is that autoblogs are nor innexpensive nor easy to set up for a begginer, so you should totally pick a niche - whatever you fancy (maybe you play raquetball, maybe you're into alternative country music, maybe you're hilarious and have this exciting life you'd like to share with the world), write some original content, and try to promote some amazon, clickbank, commision junction or even e-bay products so you can squeeze some money.

Your problem will be building traffic - once you accomplish having more than 100 unique visitors a day - at the VERY least, then you can worry about monetizing your site.

I never did tap into the affiliate aspect of Amazon.

Are you guys having success with this?

As an affiliate, would it be a good idea to sell products that sell for £0.01 (£2.03 including P&P) just to get your refferal percentage up? Or would this be a complete waste of time?

I really appreciate that you took time to provide information about amazon. Making money through amazon is really the best way to earn by selling products.

I think people can earn through amazon, by choosing the products that sells the most, it's not compulsory that you sell your own product, you can use amazon to sell products of others and get a percentage of commission.

To get a commission by selling products of other is just kind of referral marketing, for this a simple way is to create blog and write about the amazon product your promoting in a way that your not selling this product, but you're teaching about the product.

Because the best way to earn in referral marketing is to teach people to make them a buyer.
