第七十八屆奧斯卡頒獎禮於昨日香港時間早上九時舉行，今屆獲得八項提名的 <<斷背山>>，先捧走最佳改編劇本及最佳電影原創配樂兩項獎項，但之後的男主角均鎩羽而歸，當頒獎嘉賓湯漢斯宣布最佳導演一刻，全場屏息，湯漢斯高聲讀出 [李安!] 時，全場拍掌，估計全球逾億華人亦同時為李安高呼。李安先擁抱了在旁的妻子林惠嘉，帶一貫含蓄的笑容上台，從湯漢斯手上取走奧斯卡金像獎。
