i am currently using a practice account
why is the sell price always lower than the buy price??
how do you make a profit from that?

Hey, nice to see you getting into more exotic investments (well forex is more trading than anything else). Marketiva is bs platform. Hated it from Day #1 What you should do is, Sign up to IBFX (interbank fx) for a practice account: http://www.ibfx.comRead up on http://babypips.comhttp://investopedia.comIBFX U That should get you started  (I'm time pressed, but really wanted to answer this question )

For the information. I was already looking into InvestOPedia. It's a decent site. The same with BabyBabyPIP. I'll look, some, into IBFX.
