Dedicating A Summer To Learning Forex?

I've been slightly interested in the whole Forex market for some time now and for the most part it has been a mystery.

Currently I have very little free time but this summer instead of picking up a job I was thinking of learning how to trade the Forex market fulltime.

I would plan on spending at least 30 hours a week dedicating myself to improving my Forex knowledge and skills. Initially I would start out reading various materials and studying trading techniques and then move on to testing these techniques and practicing trading.

My goal would be to increase my initial funds 10-fold in 3 months starting from scratch. I would plan on starting out with $500 and $5000 over the whole summer is the amount I could earn with a standard job.

Having laid out every major factor involved with starting an endeavor such as this I would like to know how realistic you think it would be for me to accomplish this?

Given that amount of time dedication, I'm thinking something like this may be realistic but like I said, I know very little of this industry so I need some advice from experienced people who know what's going on.

I would probably also try to seek out a mentor who could advise me and keep me on track which would further increase my odds of success.
